Movie Night At Quatre's
by Anna-chan

Duo was going to call Quatre and suggest a Friday movie night at the Winners' safehouse. But Quatre beat him to it. It seems Quatre was feeling bored and a little lonely. He loved sharing a house with Trowa and Wufei, but sometimes liked more company.

"Well, that saves me having to invite myself," said Duo to the mirror in his dorm room. He had changed out of his school uniform and into a plain, button-down oxford shirt and jeans. This was his third attempt to braid his hair "just right." Never before had he been so self-conscious about his appearance.

He and Heero had just made out for the first time. Well ... almost made out. Okay, not quite. They hadn't kissed. They had kind of, um, rolled around on each other on Heero's bunk. But that was something, after all, and Duo was still trying to wrap his mind around what exactly had happened back there in Heero's room.

It had started with Duo teasing Heero with mock propositions while standing in the doorway. He had been doing this for a few weeks now, and wasn't sure why. Maybe it was a way to cover for his growing attraction to Heero.

And then Heero called his bluff.

And then ... and then ... just thinking about what happened next sent pleasant shivers up and down Duo's spine. And now they had a whole weekend ahead of them.

Duo was determined to kiss Heero by Monday.

"Duo?" Heero was knocking on the door to Duo's room. "Are you in there?"

"Yeah!" called Duo, quickly finishing his plaits. "Almost ready! How cold is it outside?"

"Just below the freezing point," replied Heero.

"Brrr," said Duo, and he reached for his jacket -- a brown leather, vintage style American bomber jacket he had picked up during his first leave on Earth.

He and Heero left the school grounds and walked into town. The November wind was bitter, blowing around the thin dusting of snow that had fallen earlier that day. Duo pulled his stocking cap over his ears and looked over at Heero, who had worn only a light coat over a T-shirt and jeans. Heero didn't seem cold at all.

"I think my legs are numb," said Duo.

Heero looked at him, concerned. "Will you be all right?"

"Oh, yeah. It's just a few more blocks."

They passed a small grocery store, and Heero asked, "Do you think we should buy something for the party?"

"Neah, let's just hurry. Q mentioned ordering pizza. And that house is always stocked with food."

By the time they arrived, Duo had lost all feeling in his fingers, toes, and thighs. But the house was wonderfully overheated, and Duo warmed up quickly.

"Glad you guys could come over!" said Quatre, cheerfully extending two mugs of hot chocolate. Trowa was sitting cross-legged on the big sofa in the livingroom, playing a video game through the television.

"Is Wufei here yet?" asked Heero, taking Duo's jacket and putting it on the same hanger as his own.

"He's upstairs. He'll be down in a little while, after he finishes his report."

Duo removed his shoes, took one of the mugs, and stepped into the livingroom, where the carpeting was thick and deeply piled. It felt nice under his stocking feet. So nice, in fact, that he knelt down and removed his socks as well, tossing them back toward the coat closet. He hoped no one had seen him blush when Heero took his jacket. Heero had brushed a hand lightly across Duo's back when he did it. Just a brief, gentle touch, as if to quietly remind Duo of their unfinished business.

If Quatre noticed anything different between Heero and Duo, he wasn't saying anything.

"Hey, Trow!" said Duo.

"Hey," said Trowa, smiling but not looking up from his game. "Cold enough for you?"

"Uh ... outside, you mean? Yeah. It's pretty cold. But I don't mind, 'cause I'm looking forward to snow at Christmas this year. I've never seen snow at Christmas. Not in person, anyway."

Quatre and Heero entered the room. "Pizza should be here soon," said Quatre. "I don't know which movies you want to order, but the menu is on channel 512. Anything's fine with me, as long as there's not too much violence."

"What about giant monsters stomping on cities?" asked Duo.

Quatre laughed. "I suppose I could make an exception for your giant monsters."

Wufei thumped down the stairs, looking like he had just speed-typed a fifty page report. His ponytail was undone, and his shiny black hair hung loose over his shoulders. One shirt tail was tucked in.

"Hi there, Wufei!" called Duo.

Wufei squinted in Duo's general direction and made some kind of affirmative grunt.

Just then the pizza arrived, along with five different kinds of soda, and several appetizers, including cheesy-bread, chicken wings, and pastries.

"I'll get some plates from the kitchen," said Quatre, setting the stack of boxes on the coffee table in front of the sofa.

"I'll save you a seat!" called Duo as he tumbled into the sofa cushions.

All five pilots were crammed into the sofa, watching movie number two -- a classically horrible piece of low-budget sci fi cinema. Empty pizza boxes and pop cans were strewn over the coffee table. Someone had dowsed the electric lights; the room was illuminated by small candles here and there.

Quatre and Trowa were sitting close together at one end of the sofa, and Duo was pushed up against Heero at the other end, with Wufei in the middle. The sofa cushions were so plump and soft, it was like sinking into a nest of pillows.

Duo noticed that the room was getting chilly. His muscles were tensing up, and he was wanting to snuggle against Heero more and more.

Then Quatre said, "I'm kind of cold. Does anyone mind if I get a blanket?"

"Would you get two?" asked Duo.

"Sure!"

Quatre went upstairs, and returned with two heavy quilts. There was enough to cover everyone. Suddenly Duo was in a much more intimate situation, as he and Heero huddled together under one of the quilts. He realized that, if he wanted, he could touch Heero without anyone else seeing it.

At the same moment he realized that Quatre and Trowa could do the same. Hmmm, he thought, grinning to himself. Maybe Quatre lowered the thermostat on purpose. Wicked, scheming Quatre. Heh, heh.

Duo discreetly reached over and stroked Heero's arm, while casting him a sidelong glance. He saw his friend shiver, then relax into the touch. Heero kept his eyes on the movie, but allowed his mouth to twitch into a brief smile.

One of the candles flickered and made shadows on the ceiling.

Heero's hand quietly slid across Duo's back and curved around his waist. Duo's breath caught in his throat. Heart pounding like crazy, he inched a little closer to Heero, until their hips and legs touched. All sorts of delicious feelings flooded his body in waves. His fingers moved to Heero's chest and lingered just below the collarbone, then slowly circled and caressed over the T-shirt cotton.

Heero's other hand found its way to the button's on Duo's shirt. One button came undone, then another, and another.

Duo bit his lip, struggling not to groan or breathe too loudly. He could feel Heero's fingertips tentatively exploring him from throat to stomach. He tried to watch the movie and not let the others know what was going on. But underneath the quilt, Heero's insistent fingers were driving him mad. It almost tickled, almost enough to make Duo lose control.

A while later, Duo cast a glance at the others, and saw Quatre solidly curled up in Trowa's arms. Trowa leaned down and rested his lips on the back of Quatre's neck. Quatre released a long sigh. They weren't trying to hide anything.

Wufei, meanwhile, was reclining on his side, watching them.

Just then Duo felt warm breath on the back of his own neck. The unexpected brush of Heero's lips sent shocks down to his toes. Duo whimpered, which made the others briefly look in his direction. But Quatre just gave him a beatific smile, and turned around in Trowa's arms so the two could start kissing in earnest.

Oh, what the heck, thought Duo. Nobody seems to mind.

He shifted until he was almost in Heero's lap. Heero wrapped his hands around Duo's back and pulled him close. Duo nearly panicked. Was this finally it? Were they going to kiss? He braced himself in anticipation.

But then a hand slid up and urged Duo's head to rest on Heero's shoulder ... which was also very nice, Duo thought. He stayed there for a long while, nuzzling Heero's hair, while the pleasurable feelings gathered inside him. He felt very warm, especially between his legs. Every few minutes or so, he would hear a small moan or sigh from the other end of the sofa. At one point he thought he heard Wufei's voice, and looked over to see Wufei lying on his back with Trowa and Quatre covering him in light kisses.

Well, there you have it, he thought with a smile. No more secrets among us Gundam pilots.

Despite the urgency of the moment, Heero and Duo kept it all above the waist. Oh, there were moments when Duo shifted his weight and felt something pressing against his leg, or when he ground himself a little against Heero. But they weren't ready for much more, and they both knew it.

No one seemed to notice when the movie ended.

"Hey, guys," said Quatre abruptly.

Duo looked up. Quatre and Trowa were still crouching over a writhing, over-stimulated Wufei, who was making short little sounds. Quatre's shirt was completely unbuttoned and hanging out. His vest was on the floor.

"It's already after twelve o'clock," continued Quatre. "Why don't you guys stay the night?"

Duo turned to Heero. "Um, that's fine with me. What do you think?"

"Sure," said Heero, grinning. "Let's stay."

Then Quatre cleared his throat and said, "Well, uh ... we're probably going to go upstairs to bed soon. Trowa, Wufei, and I. Will you guys be comfortable down here, on the sofa?"

A whole night curled up on the sofa with Heero? It was a dream come true.

"Sofa'll be great!" said Duo.

"That'll be fine," confirmed Heero.

Duo was certain he'd never fall asleep. His best friend lay stretched out behind him, spoon fashion, one arm curled protectively around him. The quilt was warm and heavy over their entwined bodies. The nice feelings that had been gathering inside Duo all evening had turned into a persistent ache, but there was nothing he could do about that for now. If he touched himself, it would only make it worse, and Duo wanted this moment with Heero to last forever.

The noises coming from upstairs didn't make the situation any easier.

Man, I'm sure learning a lot about Wufei tonight.

Heero made a little sound and shifted slightly. He had apparently fallen asleep almost immediately.

Duo glanced across the room at a clock on one of the bookshelves. It said 3:22 AM. "Damn," he whispered to himself. "I'm gonna be in agony 'till dawn."

More noises from upstairs.

"Don't those guys ever quit?"

Finally he couldn't stand it anymore. Snuggling with Heero under the quilt was wonderful, but his hormones had other ideas. He climbed out of the cushions and quietly padded across the carpet in his bare feet.

The washroom was small but clean, and had a vent fan that made a loud, steady noise. Standing in the middle of the floor, Duo closed his eyes and thought about Heero's lips on the nape of his neck. His hands reached down ... farther down ... to touch that pressure and push it to a deeper place, where the feelings could coil up, blossom and open full force.

A few minutes later he emerged a little unsteady on his legs. His whole body tingled. He wasn't a bit tired. In fact, he was a little hungry, so he staggered into the kitchen and ate a slice of microwaved cheesy-bread. Then he heated a mug of water and made himself some hot chocolate.

Quatre, Trowa, and Wufei had turned the downstairs bedroom into a meditation room. Duo wandered in, testing his feet on the hardwood floor. It felt warm; radiant heat, perhaps? There was a large picture window across the room, and a low, cushioned window seat. He sauntered over and sat on the ledge against the inside window pane. The snow outside had turned into a kind of ice-rain, which meant the streets would be impassable by dawn if it didn't warm up.

Duo sipped at his hot chocolate.

"Good morning," came Heero's voice from the doorway.

"Heero!" Duo swiveled around.

"Couldn't sleep?"

"Not really. 'Sokay, though. I'm not really tired."

"I slept a little," said Heero, walking over to sit beside him. Heero placed a hand on Duo's knee. "How do you feel?"

"Hmm?"

"I mean, about tonight," said Heero. "And everything that happened yesterday."

"Uh ..." Duo swallowed. "I feel ... I mean, I'm really happy about it, Heero. Um, are you?"

"I have no regrets." Heero looked down at his lap. "It's just ... I got a little sore."

A nervous laugh escaped Duo. "Oh! Heh! Yeah, I kinda had a similar problem. Um ... I ended up ... uh ..."

"I did too," said Heero.

They said nothing for a long moment. Duo felt himself squirming inside.

"So --" they both said in unison, breaking the silence.

Then they laughed, blushing.

Heero stood up and looked into Duo's eyes. He spoke first. "Duo," he said. His expression was a blend of serious wonder. "Duo, may I kiss you?"

Duo's heart leaped. He could feel his stunned expression opening into a bright smile. "Yes!" he blurted in a whisper.

Heero leaned forward, resting one knee on the window seat for support. He took Duo's face in his hands. Their lips touched for the first time. Heero's mouth was gentle and insistent, urging Duo further into the kiss. Duo groaned when Heero forced his mouth open and entered him. Just a little. Then they were both deeply into each other. Duo turned from the window, setting his mug on the ledge. He wrapped both arms around Heero, and they squeezed each other tight, mouths and limbs struggling to get closer, to press and grind.

Soon Duo was in the same trouble as before.

"Ah ... Heero ... I want you so much."

Heero groaned, kissing Duo's neck.

Finally they pulled apart, both breathing hard. Duo said, "We gotta --"

"Stop?" Heero stood up, pulling Duo to his feet. He paused to catch his breath. "Oh, Duo. There's so much I want to do to you."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. And ... and we have time."

"Lots of time," agreed Duo. "We'll ... do more ... another day."

Heero gave Duo one last kiss, then took his hand and led him from the room.

"My hot chocolate," said Duo, stopping at the doorway.

"Leave it." Heero tugged him away. "Come with me to the kitchen. We'll heat up some more."

"Now that could sound wrong out of context," teased Duo.

Heero gave him a smirk. "Oh? What do you mean?"

Duo hugged him and whispered into his ear, "Come with me to the kitchen and I'll show you."
