It's for Charity
by Selena Barton

Heero had been moody for the past week. Duo couldn't help his good mood though. The idea of seeing Heero in his dress uniform before the camera was very appealing.

"It's for charity," Duo reminded with a bright smile.

"Which is the only reason I finally capitulated," Heero grumbled.

"Aww, and I thought it was my asking nicely," Duo purred near Heero's ear.

Heero gave a small smile as Duo kissed his cheek. "It didn't hurt."

Duo trailed his fingers along Heero's thigh, the dress pants tight and smooth over the muscled leg. "I get to watch, right?"

"Like a photo shoot is entertaining," Heero chuckled lightly.

"Only when it's you," Duo answered.

When they pulled into the parking lot, Heero's mood tried to fall back into that grouchy little place and grump over being turned into some model. He didn't like the idea of being on strangers' walls, even in his uniform.

"Officer Yuy," called out a familiar voice.

Heero fought the urge to growl at the woman approaching them. It was all her fault this started to begin with.

"Heero, I'm so glad you agreed," Relena cooed.

"Relena," Heero greeted.

"Hey 'Lena," Duo greeted happily.

She smiled brightly at the friendly welcome, "Well at least one of you doesn't hate me for this."

"He's not mad, 'Lena. He just hates cameras," Duo chuckled as they hugged.

"But Heero, it's for a good cause,..." she started.

"I know. You don't have to tell me again."

"Grouch," she quipped and turned back toward the man running the camera.

"I want this to be perfect. They'll want his picture in posters on their walls," she said as her hair swished across her back.

"Posters? I only agreed to a calendar, and begrudgingly at that," Heero grumbled.

Duo laughed, "I'm sure she's just kidding." He took the few steps closer to her and leaned in with a stage whisper, "And if not, I want a copy too."

Relena smiled, "You can have the one right after mine."

"Relena," Heero half growled in warning.

She merely laughed and pointed him toward the 'stage'.

Heero tipped his head back as if to ask any deity what he did in this or any other life to deserve this treatment. That or for help in finding the patience to deal, or help in making sure Relena's poster comment stayed just a comment.

"Come along now, Heero. You're holding up the process," Relena said as she glanced at the clipboard by the camera man.

A half hour later and 5 almost usable shots, Relena was becoming frustrated with her less than cooperative victim.

"Let me try," Duo whispered to her as he moved to join Heero in front of the camera.

Heero watched as Duo approached, slow swagger and all. The smirk was more than enough to make Heero nervous.

"Duo? What are you...?" Heero started as Duo's fingers unbuttoned the first three buttons on the dress shirt.

"Helping you get out of this place before either you or 'Lena blows a gasket," Duo answered with a smile. He leaned in next to Heero's ear to whisper, "I prefer to do the blowing when it comes to you."

Heero blushed. It was hard enough being the gay guy in the station, but to have Duo that close while he was in uniform and out of their home was just ratcheting up the tension.

Duo adjusted the collar to open up more, showing warm almond skin. He reached up and ruffled Heero's hair making it only that much more unruly. "Alright, trade me jackets," Duo said as he shrugged off his favorite leather coat.

"I am supposed to be in uniform," Heero said quickly.

"You will be, only my coat over your shoulder instead of wearing yours. It's just a picture. Not like it has to be the real thing, 100%," Duo said with a smile.

He leaned in close again to whisper in his ear, "Besides the sooner Relena gets her shot for the calendar, the sooner we can get to the offer I made for playing nice."

Heero tried Duo jackets quickly and slung Duo's over his shoulder. He could smell the leather and Duo, and it made him smile. Not the bright smile Duo got at home for things, not the gorgeous smile he had when he was laughing openly. But the one that was his little, shy smile that Duo knew meant Heero was thinking of him.

Just as Duo cleared the camera's view, the flash went and the shot was taken. Heero turned a glare on the camera.

"That was perfect Heero. Just a couple more to choose from," Relena encouraged.

"Shouldn't one truly be sufficient?" he protested.

"Play nice," Duo teased with a grin. "Remember?"

Heero flushed as he turned that glare on his lover. Duo gave a quick wink, and Heero felt the corners of his mouth turn up.

"I remember," Heero said in a deep voice that only made Duo give a cocky grin.

The camera man took his chances and began snapping shots while he was chatting with the braided one. He didn't dare risk missing a single shot that had the man looking that good.

Heero walked in to hear Duo in their room.

"Ya know, Love, you look better in real life," Duo was saying. "But I won't protest Relena's choice in shots."

Heero froze in the doorway as he saw the huge, poster sized picture of him in his dress uniform, Duo's jacket drapped over Duo's shoulder, his dress jacket hanging down his back from Duo's fingers, and them close, kissing.

"That had better not be the calendar shot," Heero said, skin paling at the thought.

"Naw, I sent her one of you in nothing but the sheets for that," Duo teased before tossing the calendar to Heero.

As promised, Heero's picture was in February, shirt slightly unopened and his gaze on the man who owned the shadow in the far side of the shot.
