Thirty Second Gundam Wing: Highlighter
by Kracken

The man was doodling something inane on his notepad while Une debriefed the people in the room. They all hated the routine and discipline of their positions with Preventers, but Duo made the least effort at hiding that distaste. In his starched Preventer shirt and tie, he had left his jacket behind somewhere. 'Out of uniform' Une had declared him, as if it mattered. Nothing, short of murder, would earn any of them a pink slip. They were too good at what they did; the best of the best, however flawed their personalities were. When the meeting adjourned, Duo would be the first out of his seat, the first to yank off that offending tie. He would unbutton the top two buttons of his shirt and he would roll up his sleeves. His jacket would never be 'found'.

Heero found himself anticipating that moment. There was something about watching Duo suddenly 'unleashed' that made him excited, that reached down deep within him and made him want as he had never wanted before. He would never admit it, of course. He was focused on his career, on his mission to become the best Preventer agent on the force, and to protect the peace. Relationships were for later, for when he was more of an adult, and more confident in this new life that he was trying to adjust to.... or at least that had been what the staff psychologist had told him. Mature, grow, learn, control, later... but those words lost all sense and power when Duo's thin dress shirt moved tautly over nipples that the chill of the room had made into hard little nubs.

The swelling in Heero's lap didn't have any sense at all and a very large part of his mind, and heart, was turning unreasonable as well. Somehow, it had become more than about Duo's nipples, or the way he smiled, or the way his dress pants hugged a rounded ass. It wasn't just Heero's body that didn't want to wait.

The meeting adjourned, Une sighing and looking irritated, as if she knew that it had been a supreme waste of time. Duo grinned at her as he stood and stretched. Heero found himself following wide shoulders, down to a slim waist, and to the crotch that Duo's dress pants were hugging and outlining. He felt his face go hot and he forced his eyes back up again to meet Duo's smile.

"See something you like, Heero?" Duo whispered as he lost his tie and unbuttoned his shirt. "It's okay, you know?"

Duo rolled up his sleeves, winked at Heero as he gathered his notepad under his arm, and exited with the others, his tie hanging from one hand.

Mature. Grow. Wait. Career.

It's okay.

"Screw waiting," Heero growled and hurried after Duo.
